About No Frills Websites

Any "we" on any of the pages of this Website is a "royal we."  No Frills Websites is solely run by Martin Muller, of River Ridge, Louisiana, just outside of New Orleans (or what is left of it).

I am a graduate of St. Martin's Protestant Episcopal School in Metairie, Louisiana and have bachelor degrees in geography from the University of New Orleans and in communications from Loyola University of New Orleans (and about three quarters of a geology degree).

(I only offer these pictures because one should have an idea about the person with whom one does business.  I do so wish I currently resembled that guy on the left, though!)

No Frills Websites is an off-shoot of a hobby I started in 2004 called the Louisiana High School Wrestling Archives (www.lhswa.org).  As a former high school and collegiate wrestler and coach (...a long time ago, in a galaxy far, far away...), and as a former archivist for the State of Louisiana Vital Records Registry, I saw my tournament brackets yellowing with age. I thought that a comprehensive history of Louisiana high school wrestling should be posted on a Website before such records disappear.  Four months later, I had a new computer, scanner and a digital camera, and decided I could build Websites for others as well as keep up the LHSWA site.

"No Frills Websites" originated as a name because I felt I knew my limits and probably could not build more than "glorified business cards".  Over time, however, I learned a a lot, and now my son says I should call it "Some Frills Websites," but I still have a lot of unused business cards.

As of now, while many of my sites are still simply "glorified business cards," which do serve a purpose, some sites have distinguished themselves with other uses.  I do four sites for a franchise called Gym Rompers, a parent-child play and learn organization.  Three times a year the owners used to have to mail out registration forms and schedules to all of their clients.  Now the clients simply print out registration forms from the Websites, and can print out schedules as well.  The Websites have saved those clients an immense amount of time and expense.

My goal is to cater to small businesses and organizations that may think they can't afford a Website.  But it is also to not deceive a potential client re my Website-building capabilities.  I know I can build a Website that will certainly outshine Yellow Pages ads, and for far less money.  I'm also learning how to make them useful in other ways.

If anything, I will not "sell" a client something a client cannot use.  If I cannot build what a client wants, I'll refer the client to others who can.

Others may try to abuse your trust - I never shall.
